What is Bill Pay?
It’s an easy, way to pay almost any bill in the United States. Bill Pay saves you the hassle of writing checks or visiting multiple sites to pay all your bills. You also gain:
- The ability to choose the payment date and amount to pay a bill from your eligible checking and/or money market account
- The opportunity to receive electronic copies of your bills
- A simple way to set up payees and pay bills using Regions Online Banking or mobile banking.
Set up bill payments to just about any company or person. You select which person or company you want to pay, and Bill Pay allows you to choose an available pay date for a bill to be paid. There is no fee for standard Bill Pay transactions.
- In Online Banking: Select Payments tab and the payments overview displays, then select Bill Payment. Follow the steps to select or add billers and details of payments.
- In the mobile app: In the main menu, select Payments, then Bill Pay. You may then add billers, or view transaction activity.
You can add a payee, review pending payments, check bill reminders, view your e-Bills and more. Additionally, with Regions e-Bills, you can elect to receive electronic copies of your bills from participating billers directly through Bill Pay. You no longer have to wait to receive bills in the mail or log into your biller's site. E-Bills are available from hundreds of companies, including major utilities and retailers nationwide, so you can unify and centralize your bill paying.
There are two expedited payment options available through the Bill Pay service:
- Same-day Bill Pay allows you to send electronic bill payments the same day to an approved biller. That means the biller has an agreement in place to ensure posting the same day. If this option is available, it will be visible when choosing a payment date on the calendar. Each same day Bill Pay transaction is subject to a fee of $9.95. The fee is deducted from your account the day the payment is initiated.
- Overnight Check Bill Payments are available for most billers in the 48 contiguous states of the United States. You must provide the physical address of the biller in order to send an overnight check Bill Payment. If the option is available, it will be visible when choosing a payment date on the calendar. Each overnight check Bill Payment transaction is subject to a fee of $14.95. The fee is deducted from your account the day the payment is initiated.
